Do you too have a Jar of Mayonnaise sitting in one corner of your refrigerator and you have been wondering what to do with the Mayo before it expires?
So, here I have some tips and a simple recipe for a Quick Appetizer.
Here are some tips on how to use Mayonnaise:
- Mayo can be used for making dips for starters & snacks, with the help of some Italian Seasonings, tomato ketchup, some herbs, etc.
- It can be used as a dressing, especially with Mexican Salads.
- To make a thick spread for any Sandwich, add mayo and make it as thick as you want.

Veg. Mayo Sandwich
Sandwiches are Quick and Delicious Snacks or Appetizers that can be eaten during an outing, can be sent in as a tiffin meal for your kids or even consumed as a tea time snack. A sandwich is a food which can be prepared by a person of any age group, even by kids of our family.
Ingredients (servings for 2 persons)
Course: Lunch Meal, Snack, Appetizer

Procedure
To make Sandwich Spread:
- Add finely chopped vegetables(Cabbage, Carrots, Green Bell Pepper, Onions) in a Bowl.
- Then add Mayonnaise, Chili Flakes and Italian Seasonings in the same bowl and mix it well.
- After mixing, you will see the mayo covering every flake of the vegetables, then add in the Tomato ketchup. And mix well. The spread is ready.
- Now the spread is ready to spread on bread.
To make the Sandwiches:
- Butter the Sandwich on the inner side of the Bread.
- On the side, you applied butter. Smear a layer of Veg. Mayo Spread and Join both slices of bread, after applying the spread.
- While toasting Bread you can apply butter on the outer side as well, for more crispiness.
- You can use Griddle/Toaster/Grilling Pan to toast the bread/sandwich. I used a Toaster because it is both convenient as well as effective. The Griddle might require excess oil/butter while toasting.
Your perfectly toasted sandwiches are now ready.
# Toasting these sandwiches is not required. But if you feel like you want the
when you dig into them you can toast them on a moderate flame for about 1-2 minutes.
How to Serve???
- Veg. Mayo Sandwich can be served with Mayo dips, Ketchup or Mint Chutney.
- It can also be served with Cheese Dip and a Cold Beverage.
Try some other spreads with the same recipe
- Mayonnaise with Carrots & Pink Cabbage: Both veggies to be grated or finely chopped and mixed with Mayonnaise. This recipe is a Must try with Iced-Tea.
- Mayonnaise with Green Onions: Green Onions can be finely chopped and mixed with Mayonnaise & Tomato Ketchup to make a new variant of the Spread.
- Mayo-tard with Pink Cabbage: Mayonnaise & Mustard Sauce when combined make a new flavor. It can be used as a dip for fries.
- Also, with grated Pink cabbage, it can make a spread for the sandwich.
Try Some Other Bread With Your Fav. Spread
